Costa Rica

Right after Christmas, we left for a week-long vacation in sunny Costa Rica with Jeff's entire family.  Eli and his little baby passport came along too!  It was his first time on an airplane, and although he did great and kept the crying to a minimum, the flights were still a little challenging.

Eli was in heaven with so many family members passing him around and spoiling him.  He loved meeting his cousin Colt, who is 4 months older than he is.  They fought a little over Sophie the Giraffe, but had a lot of fun playing together.  We learned that Eli is a big fan of the ocean, and water in general.  By the last day of our trip, when Jeff walked him down to the water, he started squealing and kicking his legs with excitement!

We had a wonderful trip, complete with horseback riding, tubing, zip lining, surfing, New Year's Eve fireworks, watching the Frogs win the Rose Bowl (!!!), a sunset sail, and lots of relaxing.  Thanks so much Theresa and Bob!

This is the house where we spent the week.
Colt looks jealous that his dad's holding another baby!
Cousins -- isn't it funny that two babies in the same family can look completely different?
Dino baby with Grandma T and Poppy.

First time to dip his toes in the ocean.
Nothing better than a nap on the beach!

Looking good (and very safe) for our whitewater adventure!

Love this face.

Posing.  Look at that grin!
He loves his Daddy, and the ocean!

Christmas

We had a whirlwind Christmas this year -- and little Eli was certainly the center of attention!  We were fortunate enough to be able to spend time with both my family and Jeff's.

Eli wasn't too sure what to think about all the presents he received, but he was captivated by the ribbons and bows.

I'm disappointed that we didn't take more pictures.  I can't believe we didn't get a single family picture on Christmas!  At least we got some of our sweet boy.

Uncle Ross gave Eli his first shotgun, with "Bridges" engraved on it.

New Trick

Mmmmm . . . tasty!
Eli has figured out how to chew on his toes, and it might be his favorite hobby these days.  He doesn't like wearing socks because they just get in the way!
